Based near Invercargill in Southland, New Zealand’s Aluminium Smelter (NZAS) makes some of the purest aluminium in the world, using renewable hydro-electricity. We are excited to be bringing the plant back to full production with the planned re-start of Line 4, a positive outcome for NZAS, Southland and the New Zealand economies.
The Line 4 restart provides an opportunity for an effective and enthusiastic leader to join the Reduction Leadership team. Our successful candidate will thrive on teamwork and commitment to take overall accountability for all Line 4 operations. This role involves leading and supporting the delivery of results, as well as coaching, developing, and mentoring leaders and team members, in both technical and operational roles.
In addition to being responsible for the budgeting and cost management of the Line 4 team, you will support a culture that encourages team members to perform at their best, and will help foster an environment where safety, agility and effectiveness are paramount.
It is critical that the successful candidate demonstrates a commitment to NZAS values and has the capability to make effective strategic and operational decisions, to support continuous improvement in safety, quality, output and cost. A broad knowledge and experience in Reduction operations is desirable.
