A rare opportunity exists for a Maintenance Superintendent in our Molten Metal Maintenance area.

The Molten Metal Maintenance Superintendent is a key role in the scheduling and execution of preventative field maintenance. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to take the next step in their career and show what they can do in a challenging and diverse role.

With a broad range of equipment responsibilities and accountabilities, this is a critical maintenance leadership role for the Reduction and Casting Maintenance areas, with a team size of approximately 30 including both direct and indirect reports.

As the leader of this team you will need:

  • To provide the leadership and support for achieving strategic outcomes;
  • To deliver maintenance activities to schedule on a day to day basis, while maintaining a strong focus on continually improving the effectiveness and efficiency of preventative maintenance efforts;
  • The passion and energy to deliver higher levels of safety and reliability performance in a challenging environment;
  • The ability to build and maintain productive relationships with team members, stakeholders and customers, and to develop and grow your people;
  • To have, or be able to quickly build, a base level of technical knowledge and understanding of effective Asset Management practices;
  • The ability to prioritise and deliver to cost control expectations.

Whilst a relevant trade or tertiary qualification would be of benefit, the key requirement is the ability to successfully manage a large, diverse team to successfully optimise critical production assets at NZAS.  Essential is the ability to successfully manage priorities and develop a high performing team.
