A rare opportunity exists for a Maintenance Superintendent in our Molten Metal Maintenance area.
NZAS makes some of the purest aluminium in the world, using renewable hydro-electricity, and we are proud of the fact that NZAS is one of only a handful of smelters that can market under Rio Tinto’s RenewAl brand. This guarantees that our aluminium is made from traceable raw materials and is produced with electricity from low carbon sources, using world class smelting processes.
The Molten Metal Maintenance Superintendent is a key role in the scheduling and execution of preventative field maintenance. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to take the next step in their career and show what they can do in a challenging and diverse role.
With a broad range of equipment responsibilities and accountabilities, this is a critical maintenance leadership role for the Reduction and Casting Maintenance areas, with a team size of approximately 30 including both direct and indirect reports.

Whilst a relevant trade or tertiary qualification would be of benefit, the key requirement is the ability to successfully manage a large, diverse team to successfully optimise critical production assets at NZAS.
